Life's Seasons Include Change

Sitting with an individual or couple, listening to and engaging about life’s challenges, is how I spend a lot of my time. I’m a Social Work Therapist, I am privileged to provide this service, and we’re in it together.

The therapeutic experience will edit your personal road map. When my clients begin to see that they have the tools to take charge of their mindset and choices, reframe disturbing thoughts, and use their voice with purpose, they start to feel better. It takes time and commitment.  My clients describe feeling more in control of life, confident, trusting being able to listen more and react less, and overall, having more self awareness.

When a person begins to work with a therapist, they are essentially acknowledging that something is not working. It is also a step that says, "I want to take responsibility for how I feel, I want my life to feel better, and I am willing to make a commitment to move in that direction." Undoubtedly it is a courageous and healthy decision.

Together, we figure out in what direction to move, what issues to explore, and what goals are sensible and realistic. The conversations we have build a relationship based in trust, confidence, and respect. Our sessions are a safe place to face and explore many things, without being judged. You are definitely worth it!

Managing Grief and Loss

  • Loss is one of the most universal and disruptive experiences. Grief is one of the most challenging human emotional experiences. Despite how common grief is, our understanding of it remains limited, yet we know without any uncertainty, our sense of normalcy is lost. Loss is one of our human experiences that shares a lot of space with grief.

  • Grief is a very normal response to loss of life, loss of opportunity, loss of a relationship, loss of pregnancy, and is usually felt during or after any traumatic event. It is also well known that grief can be experienced when drastic changes to daily routines that usually bring us comfort and a feeling of stability are altered or lost.

  • The good news is, you do not need to handle this alone. Entering a therapeutic relationship with a mental health professional is a sensible and productive way to find support and healing.
